European School Sports Day 2023

We all had such a ball staying active for European School Sports Day 2023. Thanks to a rousing speech from our Active Committee we were all spurred on to do lots of activities!

Dare to Believe

We were fortunate enough to be visited by one of the ambassadors from the Dare to Believe program this year. Greta Streimikyte is a Paraympian athlete who has represented Ireland in many international games including both the Paralympian games in Rio and Tokyo! She came to 5th/6th class to tell us all about what it takes to believe in yourself so that you can achieve your goals in life whatever they might be.

Marathon Kids 2022

This year 5th&6th took part in the Marathon kids challenge where over a number of weeks they ran a combined total of a whole marathon! We had lots of fun taking part in this challenge and hope to do the same again next year!

Sports Inclusion

Our school recognizes the importance of physical activities being catered for all abilities. Inclusive P.E. allows all children to improve their fundamental movement skills and lead healthy lives. Our Local Sports Inclusion Officer Lisa Kelly has recommended the below link for improving inclusion in planning for P.E.
