Here in Rathgar National School we have a very supportive and active Parents' Association. The Parents Association is an integral part of the school, with parents and staff on a 3 year rotation. The PA organise fundraising and social events throughout the year working alongside the dedicated and all- round fantastic staff. We would like to think we are an approachable bunch, so if you are a new parent and we can be of any help please do make yourself known.....

All after school activates are co- coordinated and run by the parents and these include:

• FRENCH

• RELIGION CLASSES

• HOCKEY

• ATHLETICS

• CHESS

(BASKETBALL, SWIMMING, DRAMA AND MUSIC ARE ALL PROVIDED DURING SCHOOL HOURS.)

These cannot happen without parent involvement. Thank you to all who continue to supervise, co ordinate, taxi and lots more. Garda vetting must be applied for and granted, for involvement in after-school activities. Forms are available from the office.

We have two main fundraisers throughout the year. In November we have our 'BIG ONE' the Pub Quiz and Auction. It is a fantastic night out and if quizzes are not your thing, well that's ok, you can just come and enjoy a social night out and enjoy the Auction. (You never know what you could bring home!).
Later in the year, we have a cake sale, the children love the buzz about the school and homework is BAKING!
