On the 21st of March 2019, the boys and girls of 5th/6th class went out to St. Enda’s Park to take part in the South Dublin Inter School’s Cross Country event. Everyone was very excited. The boys and girls left the school at 12.30p.m. Everyone had their lifts there. The boys and girls were really pumped and were roaring to go!
When they arrived, they ran a lap of the pitch to warm up. After, they did a few stretches. The girls had to do 1km and the boys 2km. There were around 400 boys and 400 girls competing. The girls were first and the boys showed them lots of support. Megan, Ella B and Faye were in the top 50 which was amazing! Nevertheless, all the girls did their best and had fun so that’s all that matters. The boys race began at 1.30p.m. Oscar, Isaac and George finished in the top half.
Everyone had great fun and enjoyed the event. Everyone got a goody bag with an energy drink and a chocolate bar. We were unlucky not to win anything. It was a great day and everyone went away happy.
