On Wednesday 5th December 2018, 5th and 6th class visited the Royal Hibernian Academy to view the Methodist Church Art Collection. We enjoyed our visit and observing the artwork.
5th & 6th
On Thursday 13th September, 5th/6th class were invited to the official opening of Herzog Park. Children from Rathgar NS were involved in the design of the park. The opening was conducted by the Lord Mayor Niall Ring and members of Dublin City Council. We enjoyed our trip and playing in the park for a while!
5th and 6th recently visited Rathmines Library to view an exhibition entitled "100 days of Dogs" by Tarsila Kruse.
On Monday 5th February, 6th class took part in the Marty Nevin Quiz, a local school quiz organised by Zion National School. Well done to one of the teams in becoming runner up!

As part of World Book Day celebrations, we went to our local book shop in Rathgar and bought some books. Many of us used our World Book Day tokens to get a specially published book to mark the occasion! Many thanks to Liz for letting us come over.
On Friday 13th January 5th/6th paid a visit to Rathmines Library to view an exhibition of Irish illustrator's work. Here they are studiously examining the illustrations.
As an end of term project and fitting in with our Biodiversity Action Day, 5th/6th created "Button Snail" and wrote stories for the younger children on the snails' adventures!

On Friday 19th June, 3rd-6th class headed to Tayto Park on tour. We saw how the crisps are made, walked around the zoo and then the adventure park. The Cu Chulainn rollercoaster was the attraction of the day! Bravo all you thrill seeking children that went on it!
Our bulbs are in bloom, adding a splash of welcome colour to the yard!
We went to Airfield on Tuesday 11th November. As you can see from the pictures we really enjoyed ourselves... thank goodness the rain stayed away until we left!
